Machine Screws

Fasteners with external threads, (UNC - coarse) and (UNF - fine), that will mate with a nut or pre-tapped hole. Machine screws come in a variety of head styles and drives.

SLOTTED FLAT HEAD STEEL ZINC: Countersunk into the material for a smooth surface area. Steel is zinc plated for moderate protection against rust.	SLOTTED OVAL HEAD STEEL ZINC: Similar to flat head, but has a slightly rounded top for a more finished look.	SLOTTED ROUND HEAD STEEL ZINC: Protrudes above the surface of the material to be fastened.
SLOTTED FILISTER HEAD STEEL ZINC: Cylindrical, but with a slightly convex top surface.	SLOTTED PAN STEEL ZINC: A low disc with beveled outer edge	SLOTTED BINDING HEAD STEEL ZINC: Driven by a flat-bladed driver, the binding head provides a large surface area for extra surface contact under the head. Coarse threads are better for brittle materials, and will assemble and disassemble more quickly than fine threads.
SLOTTED TRUSS HEAD STEEL ZINC: Machine thread type is used in a pre-tapped hole with or without a nut. Has a low rounded top surface with a flat bearing surface. Preferred in applications where minimal clearance exists above the head. The profile provides a trim, finished assembly appearance.	SLOTTED HEX HEAD STEEL ZINC: Has a pointed end and widely spaced threads. Suitable where strength and corrosion resistance are primary considerations. Hex head for easy driving.	SLOTTED HEX WASHER STEEL ZINC: Machine thread type is used in a pre-tapped hole with or without a nut. Has a flat washer that extends beyond the sides, providing it with a greater bearing surface than a normal hex head fastener. The washer and the Hex Head are bonded together as one piece offering protection to the mating surface. The increased bearing area decreases the likeliness of crushing mating surfaces.
PHILLIP PAN HEAD INTERNAL SEM STEEL ZINC: A pan head screw protrudes above the surface of the material to be fastened. Recommended when it is desirable to hide the teeth for appearance or to prevent snagging.
